The meltdown at Three Mile Island in 1979 was supposed to be the beginning of the end of the nuclear power industry but thru lies, cover ups and obfuscations, here we are 40+ years later still waiting for the industry and it’s so-called overseers to make things right. 

 

STEP 1 EDUCATE & SAFEGUARD
The Citizen’s Nuclear Information Center in Tokyo now has a bi-monthly update of the REAL #FukushimaNews in English!  If you haven’t already, get on their mailing list stat!
STEP 2 EVACUATE RECOVER #FUKUSHIMA NOW
British PM Boris Johnson was munching on #Fukushima popcorn last week to show everyone that food imports from the region are welcome in the UK.  Cutesy moves like this do little to assuage the fears and concerns of those still living there (especially when there are military strings attached):
STEP 3 CONTROL & CONTAIN
The closest thing to an accountability document that the IAEA has produced about the #FukushimaNuclearDisaster and it’s path forward for discharging the wastewater into the ocean is linked below.  Rigorous monitoring AND recognition of possible bioaccumulations are the good things I see:
STEP 4 NUCLEAR POWER IS OVER
